Entrepreneur of the Year nominations will be accepted through March 20. ASTA said this award could be granted to entrepreneurs ranging from advisors to agency owners to technology innovators to product suppliers.
Five semifinalists will be selected from those nominated. Then ASTA members will vote online for their favorites. The top three will earn a spot at the ASTA Global Convention, where they will be given 5 minutes to make their pitch to the audience. A live vote will decide on the winner of the $10,000 cash prize. The award is sponsored by the Dan and Gloria Bohan Foundation.
Travel Advisor of the Year nominations will be accepted through March 15. ASTA said the award "recognizes an advisor who goes above and beyond to provide exceptional service to their clients."
Nominees must be current ASTA members; anyone, including the advisor themselves, can nominate an agent for the award.
This year's ASTA Global Convention will be held May 2-4 in San Juan.
"These awards are a way to celebrate the hard work, dedication and innovation of those who have made a positive impact in our industry," ASTA president and CEO Zane Kerby said in a release. "We encourage everyone to nominate deserving individuals for these awards."
